We invite your family to experience a vacation that is about more than just a trip: it is a return to nature and a chance to strengthen the ties that matter most. A family holiday on the Tara River offers a rare opportunity to step away from the digital world and create memories that your children will carry for a lifetime. Whether your family loves high energy or simply wants to enjoy the quiet of the river bank, we have something for everyone here. We believe that Tara is more than just a river: it is an emotion that stays with you long after you leave.
Your adventure starts on day one with a warm greeting at our camp. We help you settle into your room, which offer a comfortable and rustic escape right in the heart of nature. This is the moment you finally disconnect from screens and daily stress. There is no rush and no noise from the city. We serve a traditional dinner in a beautiful setting next to the water, where you can relax and listen to the gentle flow of the river. If you have children under six years old, they can stay in the bed with you for free, making it easy to keep the little ones close. We focus on creating a cozy environment where you can truly socialize as a family.
On the second day, we get ready for the water. After a fresh, home cooked breakfast, we provide all the safety gear, including helmets and life jackets for everyone. Our licensed guides are experts at making the river accessible and fun for all ages. Rafting through the Tara Canyon is an incredible experience for kids and parents alike. You will see the emerald water and the towering walls of the gorge from a unique perspective. We make sure the pace is right for your family, with plenty of smiles and splashes along the way. After the descent, a big lunch feels well earned. It is a moment of shared victory that every family member will enjoy. Between lunch and dinner, you have free time to relax, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings at your own pace.
The final day is for a slow morning and reflection before departure. We offer this family arrangement from the beginning of May until the end of September. You may find that once you experience the Tara, you will want to return every year. This trip can also be extended or combined with other activities if you want to stay longer. Please remember that we do not accept cards at the camp. We ask that you prepare cash in euros or convertible marks for your payment. We are here to help you build an unforgettable journey that brings your family closer together than ever before.
